Adelmo Fornocari, known for his stage name Zucchero, is one of the most successful Italian musicians, with a brilliant career for more than three decades. His music is influenced mostly by blues, gospel, soul, and rock. Songs such as "Senza una Donna (Without a Woman)", "Il Volo", "Baila (Sexy Thing)", "Occhi" are a small part of the performer's hits that bring him worldwide popularity and millions of sales.

The Zucchero concert on July 23, at the Ancient Theater, is supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Plovdiv Municipality for 2018.

In 2016, the Italian star presents his impressive "Black Cat" album on a world tour, which has been tremendously successful. He sets a phenomenal record in Italy with "Black Cat World Tour" - he has performed 22 concerts in the Arena di Verona for a period of 12 months! During the tour, Zucchero sang in front of more than 1 million viewers in 611 cities, 67 countries on 5 continents!
