The price is for the whole vehicle, not per person – four people in a car pay €32.50 each. It is fixed when you book and does not change with the time of day, traffic or the day of the week. Burgas Airport sits on the north side of the city; if you are going there rather than into Burgas, say so when you book and we will confirm the fare straight away.

The route

From Stara Zagora the car drops south onto the Trakia motorway (A1) and heads east past Nova Zagora, Yambol and Karnobat. The motorway runs almost all the way to Burgas. Our price list gives about 175 km and 1h45 door to door. The resorts are a short hop further: Pomorie, Sunny Beach and Nessebar to the north, Sozopol and Primorsko to the south, 15 to 50 km past Burgas.

Most people do the trip without a stop. With small children, one break is a good idea – there are fuel stations with cafés in both directions, and the driver will pull in wherever it is safe and convenient.

Catching a flight from Burgas: when to leave

Allow about 1h45 on the road, a few minutes to reach the terminal and at least two hours at the airport. For a 6:00 departure that means leaving Stara Zagora around 2:00. We drive 24/7, so a night pickup is normal for us, and the driver comes to your door. The free wait at an address is 15 minutes, so have the bags ready.

Which vehicle?

• Car up to 4 (€130 to Burgas): two to four people with a suitcase each. Four people with skis or very big luggage are better in a minivan.

• Minibus up to 8 (€210): two families or a group of friends heading to the same hotel.
