Plovdiv to Stara Zagora private transfer from €90 per car for up to 4: about 105 km on the Trakia motorway, 1 h 30 min. Both ways, 24/7.
Stara Zagora is home to Trakia University, whose medical faculty teaches many international students, and Plovdiv is the nearest big city with an airport, a lively Old Town and the Roman theatre. People travel between the two for classes, work, weekends and flights. A private transfer picks you up at your door at a time you choose and drops you at your exact address in the other city, luggage included. Below are the prices from the Unitrans price list, the route, the travel time and how to book in English.
* Prices are from the Unitrans price list and are per vehicle, not per person. Stara Zagora to Plovdiv costs the same. There is no night surcharge, and traffic does not change the price. Four friends sharing a car pay €22.50 each.

From Plovdiv the car joins the Trakia motorway (A1) and heads east across the flat Thracian plain, past the town of Chirpan. Shortly before Stara Zagora it leaves the motorway and enters the city from the south. Without stops the trip takes about an hour and a half from Plovdiv. In the other direction our table gives about 1 h 15 min; the difference is mostly the slower traffic getting out of Plovdiv at busy times.

If you have an exam, a hospital appointment or a meeting at a fixed time, tell us when you book and we will suggest a departure time with a margin.
Stara Zagora has no airport with regular flights, so students and visitors usually fly into Sofia or Plovdiv. From Stara Zagora to Sofia Airport the price is €150 for a car for up to 4, €180 for a minivan and €220 for a minibus: about 230 km and 2 h 30 min. Plovdiv Airport is on request; call us and we will tell you the price straight away.
Coming in by plane? Give us your flight number. We follow the flight, and if it is delayed your driver waits at the airport at no extra cost, however long the delay. When we pick you up from an address, the driver waits 15 minutes.

Prices for a car for up to 4, from the same price list:
Kazanlak is the heart of the Rose Valley and is popular with visitors in late May and early June. Travelling on to Sofia? See our Sofia to Stara Zagora transfer guide, or Plovdiv to Burgas for the coast.
If you travel alone with a backpack, the bus or train is cheaper. A private transfer makes sense when you are two or more, carry suitcases or travel with children, need to be somewhere at a set time, or leave very early and do not want to wait at a station. The car price is shared, so for three or four people the difference from tickets is small.
About 105 km by road, most of it on the Trakia motorway (A1) past Chirpan.
About 1 h 30 min without stops; from Stara Zagora to Plovdiv about 1 h 15 min. Allow more in fog or roadworks.
From the Unitrans price list: €90 for a car for up to 4, €110 for a minivan for up to 6 and €130 for a minibus for up to 8. Groups of more than 8 are on request. The price is per vehicle and the same in both directions.
