Most of them land in Sofia or Burgas and then face the same question – how do I get from the airport to the house without changing buses twice? This guide answers what people ask us on the phone: how long the drive is, which airport makes more sense, what it costs and how the trip back works.

Both towns cost the same: €180 by car for up to 4 people. The price is the same from Sofia Airport (Terminal 1 or 2) and from any address in Sofia, day or night. It is per car, not per person – four people in a car pay €45 each.
Which way does the driver go?
From Sofia the car takes the Trakia motorway (A1) east past Pazardzhik, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora, then past Nova Zagora. Yambol is right next to the motorway. For Sliven the car turns north shortly before Yambol and drives up to the town at the foot of the Blue Rocks. Our price list gives about 300 km to Yambol and 310 km to Sliven, roughly 3h15 door to door.

After a long flight one short stop is usually enough. There are fuel stations with coffee and toilets in both directions – just tell the driver when you need a break. If you want a longer stop, for example to buy groceries before you reach the village, mention it when you book and we will tell you the price for the whole trip.
Sofia Airport or Burgas Airport?
If you can choose your flight, look at both airports. Burgas is much closer, especially to Yambol. Here is the comparison from our price lists (price for a car up to 4):

At both airports it works the same way: send us your flight number. We track the flight, and if it lands late the driver waits at no extra cost and with no time limit. The driver can meet you in arrivals with a name sign and speaks English.
Going to a village near Yambol or Elhovo?

For the direction from Sliven or Yambol we confirm the price when you book – call us and you will know it before you say yes. For a flight from Sofia, allow 3h15 on the road, one stop and at least 2 hours at the airport: for a 10:00 departure you leave around 4:00. We drive 24/7, so an early pick-up is no problem, and the driver comes to your door.

About 3h15 to either town according to our price list: around 310 km to Sliven and 300 km to Yambol, almost all on the Trakia motorway. With a stop it can take a little longer.
How much is a transfer from Sofia Airport to Sliven or Yambol?
€180 by car for up to 4, €220 by minivan for up to 6 and €250 by minibus for up to 8 – the same for Sliven and Yambol, and the same from the airport and from Sofia city. The price is per car, not per person.
Is Burgas Airport cheaper for Yambol?
Yes. Burgas Airport to Yambol is about 95 km and €75 by car, compared with 300 km and €180 from Sofia Airport. Burgas Airport to Sliven is €100. Choose the airport that has the flight that suits you.
