Sofia to Nessebar or Pomorie transfer from €220 and Plovdiv to Pomorie from €170 per car for up to 4. To your hotel, 24/7, no prepayment.
Nessebar and Pomorie are two old towns on small peninsulas north of Burgas, about 15 km apart. Nessebar is the UNESCO-listed old town with its medieval churches, right next to Sunny Beach. Pomorie is calmer, known for its salt lake and the healing mud used in its spa hotels, which stay open well beyond summer. If you land at Sofia Airport, the coast is still about four hours away, and the train or coach only takes you to Burgas, where you need another transfer with your luggage. A private transfer drives you from the airport, or from your address in Sofia or Plovdiv, straight to your hotel. Below are the prices from the Unitrans price list, the route and a few tips for each town.
* Prices are from the Unitrans price list and are per vehicle, not per person. Sofia Airport costs the same as Sofia city. There is no night surcharge and traffic does not change the fare. Four people sharing a car to Nessebar pay €55 each.
* From Plovdiv, Pomorie is the closer of the two: €170 for a car, or €42.50 each for four.

From Sofia the car takes the Trakia motorway past Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora and Yambol to Burgas. Before the city it turns north onto the Varna road, passes Burgas Airport, and after about 20 km reaches the turn for Pomorie. Nessebar is about 15 km further, just before Sunny Beach. From Plovdiv the route is the same, about 130 km shorter.

Times are without breaks. On summer Fridays the motorway to the coast is busy from midday, and on Sunday afternoons in the other direction. The road into Nessebar is slow in July and August.
Send us your flight number when you book. The driver meets you in arrivals. We follow the flight, and if it is delayed the driver waits at the airport at no extra cost, however long the delay. When we pick you up from an address, the driver waits 15 minutes. Book in English by phone, or write in the chat in your own language: we reply almost instantly, day and night.
Old Nessebar sits on a tiny peninsula joined to the mainland by a narrow causeway. Its lanes are cobbled and narrow, and car access is restricted. Give us your exact address: if your hotel is in the old town, the driver will drop you at the closest point a car can reach. New Nessebar, with South Beach and most of the large hotels, has wide streets and the car stops at the door.
Pomorie is quieter, and many guests come for the mud and salt treatments, often in spring and autumn when the spa hotels are less busy. If you have an appointment, tell us the time and we will suggest when to leave. The old town is on a peninsula too, but the streets are wider and the car can reach almost every address.
